Bow and stern thrusters are props mounted at the bow and stern of the boat which enable the boat to be propelled sideways. They are hydraulically driven via a pump mounted on the aft end of the generator. These systems have more thrust and power than electric systems and can also be run for an infinite amount of time, unlike electric thrusters. Not only do bow and stern thrusters help with maneuvering into the dock they are also a great asset for pulling you to the dock in a slight off dock breeze or enable you to leave from the dock in tight quarters.
